Touchstone Civil Engineering has placed an order with BTE Plant Sales for 10 Thwaites site dumpers.
Wolverhampton’s Touchstone Civil Engineering has ordered eight 6-tonne ROPS+ and a pair of 9-tonne cabbed Thwaites dumpers.
The cabbed dumpers now come with air conditioning, beacons, screen guard, front and rear cameras, road lights and tow bar as standard.
The ROPS+ dumpers have an overhead bar for rollover protection with additional safety sensors: the seat must be sat on, the seat belt engaged and the bar in place before the machine will switch on.
Groundworks specialist Touchstone Civil Engineering has bedded in quickly having been founded just 12 months ago by former M&J Evans director Tobi Williams. It recently bought Hitachi ZX-130 (13-tonne) and ZX-210 (21-tonne) excavators but this is its first site dumper purchase.
